Our forty-plus years of experience designing and building instrument and loudspeaker cabinets has taught us that MDF (medium density fiberboard) or particleboard construction isn't conducive to a long rattle-free life or a great bass tone, especially when played night after night at the volumes these cabinets are expected to produce. All Traynor bass cabinets are built using only a solid birch plywood cabinet construction ensuring maximum tone and long term reliability.
