Lower mass allows the top to vibrate more freely, and increases the guitars response. Our "Tone Shaped" bridge is wide and flat on the bass side, and narrow and peaked on the treble side. A Luthier's rule of thumb is that low, wide braces are best for bass frequencies, and tall, thin braces are best for treble frequencies. We've applied this thinking to our bridge and it works. Our solid Maple bridge plate is asymmetrical, and placed diagonally to enhance the dispersion patterns of our bridge design. Our matched bridge and bridge plate configuration balances the bass and treble remarkably, and produces sustain unmatched by any other system. There are no sharp corners on the front edge of the bridge to concentrate stress on the top. Less stress - Longer life. |
