presents: COUNTERFIT NEWS
4/12: Well after a very long year 18 month period, I am so happy to be back on the band scene. My new band COUNTERFIT played a few warm up shows recently. Our first full show is FRIDAY April 13th, 2007 at the Downtown QB. The site of my last show with Never Enough. I miss Never Enough and my close friends Keith, Tim and Mat. However it is time to move on and I am excited about COUNTERFIT'S future. The band has a lot of talent and potential. We will see where it goes. Please come out and check us out!
OLD NEWS FROM NEVER ENOUGH: Thank you for 8 GREAT years! Thank you for everyone that came out to our final show! It was a very emotional moment for me, I am going to miss the stage, the band and the fans that supported us for so long. Thank you for all the great years, great times! Mike, Lead Vocalist- Never Enough
11/5: Lefty's and a Halloween party, what could be better? Glad to see miss "walk this way" (Cathy) finally showed up after we learned the tune 3 months ago. Thank you for the gracious compliments. I always say that without our fans, we are nothing! When people enjoy what we do, that just makes it sweet! Glad to see Shelly and Karen there, even though they came out real late. Poor Melissa wanted to get out and dance sooooo bad. Hopefully next show she will be healed up enough from her Olympics injury! The costumes were really cool. The dude that one best male costume had a serious "death god" look! We will be back at Lefty's Nov. 20th. This Saturday marks our first show in Broome County in 6 months! We are looking forward to seeing our Binghamton area friends at the CONKLIN INN. We will see you there!
8/29/04: Can you say "ROCK SHOW?" Maley's had a whole bunch of people that loved to rock this past Friday! We had the classic rockers early on and the bangers at the end of the night. Many of you joined us on the stage to make it a truly excellent night! The night reminded us of the old days at the TNT in Endicott where everyone was right on top of the band! We are looking forward to returning on October 8th. This weekend it is back to Lefty's. We have learned a bunch of requests for our friends in Waverly! We will see you Saturday! 8/17/04: Ah a Friday night at Lefty's. Another excellent time. Thank you for all the NEW faces that came out today. We are sorry Melissa couldnt make it because of her leg. We still played Led Zep for her. We will be back at the beginning of September. (Sat the 4th). Pictures of (8/13)Lefty's Here 5/9: Lefty's was great as usual. I wish we could play there every weekend. When we return on June 4th we will be pulling out even more cool stuff for you. 5/2: Well cover wars was a hoot! All the bands were really cool. You couldn't tell that we were competing against each other. Everyone helped each other out as much as possible. The Mystery song section was pretty funny. The 4 songs that were picked were all girl tunes. We ended up with Vacation by the Go Go's. It was pretty funny doing a song like that. Since we have had 2 girl singers in our history, we didnt feel out of place though. Of course we added our standard "Never Enough" heavy groove to it! Hopefully we did well enough to make the finals on May 29th! 2/1: It was great being back at Tub's(Mainstreet Grill) again. Thanks for our friends who drove down from Binghamton. The new songs went over great! We are looking forward to our first double show weekend in 8 months. We will see all our friends at Northern Lights on Friday and our new friends at Lefty's in Waverly. 1/31: Well our very LONNNNGGGGG break is over. Its time to dust off the axes and kick some ass! We will be returning to the stage on Sat Jan 31 at Tubs. We have more new tunes for you! Make the short drive to new Milford and rock with us. Next week we return to Northern Lights on Friday and make our debut at Lefty's in Waverly on Saturday. 12/23: Great Show at the Northern Lights. Its good to see people coming back to the shows again. We had a great time! Many of the new songs we learned went over real well. We will be adding many more cool tunes in the coming weeks. We want to thank Steph for all her contributions over the last 3 years. We wish her well in her original endeavors. 12/9: We have been busy learning new tunes for our new leaner and meaner line up. Here are a few recent additions: Awake- Godsmack, Moon baby- Godsmack, Unstable- Adema, Thunderkiss 69- White Zombie, plus more! See you at the Northern light on Dec. 19th!
12/3: We have a major announcement to make. Steph will perform her last set with the band on Friday December 19th at the Northern Lights. She has been accepted into St. Mary's convent and will be pursuing a life of holiness. After 2 years at the convent she will be flying to Uganda to serve in her first mission. Come by and wish "St. Steph" well in her new endeavors. 11/15: Awesome! Ever since the smoking crap I was losing faith that we would ever see a crowd at a Binghamton bar again. Tonight proved that there is still hope for the local music scene. Thank you for ALL the people that came out Friday night. Many people we haven't seen in months, some even for years! It was a thrill to see old friends and make some new ones too. It is truly an honor to be able to play for all of you. Thank you again! See pictures of the Northern Lights show here.
10/2/03: Back again from a month layoff. We missed you all. Looking forward to seeing our friends out this Friday(10/3) at the Downtown QB. Mat's wedding was real nice. It was amazing standing on the beach in St. Thomas watching Jackie walking down the beach towards Mat and the rest of the bridal party. In a surprise twist to the event Mat pledged his love to his best man and they walked off into the sunset............................... Just Kidding. Their wedding was really cool. Afterwards we got to watch Mat running into the ocean with his tux on! The rest of the cruise was fun, though we did not get play on the ship like we did last time. We will see you all this Friday! 9/6/03: We are going to be taking a month off for Mat to get married. We will look forward to returning to the stage in October at the Downtown QB (October 3rd). We will see you there! 8/10/03: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome weekend! We had one heck of time this weekend! First off, we hadnt played a double weekend in over a year. It was worth it though. We played at a new bar(Savoy) and returned to another bar(Tub's) for the first time in over 2 years. Friday night was like a rock concert. The place was mobbed and the people were rowdy. We met people from all over New York, Pennsylvania and New England. The last set the beer was flowing and there was some interesting things going on the dance floor to say the least! Saturday brought us back to one of our old mainstays: Tub's. (See pictures here) The feature of the night was the BLUE RIDGE 20th year reunion. It was great seeing a lot of our old friends from PA. We have many fond memories of some rowdy gigs at Tubs and this one was no exception! Thank you all for partying with us this weekend. We are off the next 2 weeks then we return to Northern Lights on August 29th. See you there!
8/2/03: OZZI! Someone is lucky dog getting to see OZZ Fest thanks to KGB, Downtown QB and Never Enough! Enjoy dude! It was great to do 2 shows in 2 weeks! First time in a long time. What Smoke? I didnt see no smoke, except for the smoke coming out of *^%$#! Northern Lights was a blast! Lots of rocking and rolling, chicken eating(outside) and smoking(outside) Thanks for making our return from a month off special. We will be doing it again this Friday at the Downtown QB. KGB will be there for a LIVE remote! Tickets will be given away for OZZ FEST. We will see you there! 6/30/03: Cool! That was fun to be back on stage again! We were pleasantly surprised by a nice turn out at Sidelines. Glad to see some of our old friends back at the show. Congrats to Melissa for her engagement! 1/17: Oh yeah! Batta Bing, Batta Boom! The Empire was PACKED Friday night and man was that a rush! We especially liked it when 7 patrons of the female persuasion decided to join us on stage. Now why security eventually kicked them off(after 3 songs) I dont know. Heck we were ready to invite more people up. The wave of people jumping up and down to "BREAK STUFF" was unreal! Thank you all! 1/5: BIG NEWS! Never Enough will be debuting at the EMPIRE CLUB this Friday Jan 10th. Tell all your friends! We are looking forward to having a big blow out to put 2002 to bed and welcome another rocking year! 12/06: DTQ: OK, OK, so people like girls wrestling in oil more than coming to see us. I'm ok with that I suppose. However, that does not mean our show was without highlights! Probably the biggest being Brian Fish(from Wreckless Marcie) coming up to AC/DC in a suit and tie! Our old friend Shannon came back to see us for the first time in a while. Overall we still had a great time. I purchased a new camera finally so I was actually able to take pictures! We are looking forward to seeing all our friends at the Stateline this Friday the 13! 12/06: DTQ: OK, OK, so people like girls wrestling in oil more than coming to see us. I'm ok with that I suppose.
