is a style that players absolutely love or hate. There is no middle
ground. Fact is though, whether you love it or hate it, it is a great
concept. This was a 1950s attempt at radical. It was also the
midwests run at overthrowing the California claim to cool.
The ROCKWELL looks very similar to those original designs; however, a closer look reveals some real changes. The body has been compressed in the lower right quadrant and swept back on the upper left. The far ends have been made more pointed and stretched just a bit. The high tech Quilt top gives it a unique visual edge not found on this type of guitar. It was a bold design in the 50s, and it has been made even more extreme for the new millennium. If making a powerful visual statement is your goal, look no further. The Rockwell has an extremely aggressive shape, but it also has incredible balance on stage. The set neck and extended body length not only make the guitar feel great it also has amazing punch. Duncan Designed pickups give the Rockwell an amazing range of tone, texture, and power. The angled back headstock insures maximum string bearing pressure at the nut. This added pressure improves attack and sustain. Flange base bridge design provides better stability resulting in improved string performance. |
